While their columns remained sound, Pitching In Northern Premier League side Atherton Collieries were playing under floodlights that were no longer meeting league standards of light production.
Their existing lighting solution had been degrading over time and, although they were keen to upgrade their system, Wiseman Lighting encouraged the club to wait until the Football Foundation agreed to the funding of LEDs.
Once this approval was confirmed, we set to work installing LED fixtures atop the existing columns at the club’s facilities, with work undertaken throughout the summer of 2021.
Now, the Colls’ LED lights have raised light levels on the pitch, all while significantly reducing energy consumption.
