When Southern League Division One South side Cirencester Town suffered floodlighting issues prior to a midweek fixture, they needed a quick fix.
Fortunately, Wiseman Lighting were able to step in and support the club at short notice, changing one of their lamps to ensure there was no disruption to their fixture schedule.

“It was a straightforward fix, but we needed it done the next day,” recalled Scott Griffin, Cirencester Town football secretary.
“One of our lamps went out before our midweek game and they came and did it straight away for us and saved the day. They literally saved our bacon.

“It makes a big difference when one goes out, because the referee won’t allow the game to continue and the club can get into trouble with the league, so it was a winner for us.”
Fortunately for the Centurions, their issue was fixed in a timely and non-disruptive manner.
Our work with the club is another example of our desire to support clubs big and small, from grassroots through to elite level, across the football pyramid.
Wiseman Lighting also works across a number of other sports, including rugby, athletics, hockey and tennis.
We have reinforced our desire to make a difference by recently partnering with the Southern Football League, adding to our existing work with the Northern Premier League.
“I’ve always used a different supplier who has been really good, but quite often they need some sort of notice before they can come out to help us, and they were unavailable this time,” Griffin added.

“I tried my luck with Wiseman and we received first-class service. They were the ultimate professionals, but the fact that they could move things around so quickly saved the day for us.”
So, did the work conducted encourage the club to maintain contact with Wiseman Lighting?
“The customer service we received has made me go back to Wiseman – and the fact that they have partnered with the Southern League proves that they are a good company.
“I’ve spoken to Harry [Wiseman Lighting founder] and we’re looking to retrofit our floodlights to LED, so they have got my custom.
“They were extremely friendly and approachable, and nothing was too much trouble. For a club, that’s what you want to deal with, so I would definitely recommend Wiseman to any Southern League club. I can’t speak more highly of them.”
