Established in 2013 by Harry Riste, with over 30 years of experience in the construction sector and Chairman of his local sports club, Wiseman is now a leading contractor of LED sports floodlighting.
The journey started in 2014, installing the first LED sports lighting in the UK, which remains the largest single grant investment into LED sports floodlighting. Now with a team who have many decades of experience in the sector, installing projects from stadia to grass roots, Wiseman continues to pioneer this exciting technology working with manufacturers to refine and innovate products.
With a desire to make a difference, raise standards and attract new investment into LED floodlighting, Wiseman’s Team have influenced at all levels. From Government, The Department of Energy and Climate Change (Now BEIS), to Sport England’s largest single investment into LED’s, to supporting The FA in determining the long-term approach to football investment, to Leagues and Clubs; impact has been delivered and achieved.
Across the UK we continue to deliver projects from initial concept, funding, planning application and installation, though to commissioning and long-term maintenance of all types of facilities. From grass roots clubs and education to leisure management establishments, Wiseman continues to lead the sector bringing innovation and new levels of customer support.
Wiseman’s technical knowledge has resulted in planning being successfully achieved for sports facilities situated in National Parks, Dark Skies Area’s and major residential settings across the UK and Ireland where spill control is critical.
OUR MISSION
Wiseman Lighting aims to aid the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, by ensuring sports clubs across the country install LED lighting solutions that contribute to the NET ZERO initiative. The Wiseman team are committed to providing sustainable and innovative financing solutions as well as being at the forefront of LED floodlighting technology to help accelerate our goal.
By undertaking detailed testing of products and manufacturers, we ensure clients are given the very best available products and warranty while reducing the risk associated with a new technology. Such an insight has resulted in Wiseman testing and installing more LED floodlighting products than any other contractor, in turn, enabling Wiseman to advise clients on the best available solutions and to offer affordable choice. Unlike metal halide technology which has had decades of refinement, no LED products are the same. Wiseman has tested and evaluated a wide range of manufacturers so that we can advise from a strong knowledge base.
Whatever your sport, our installation teams have installed and maintained floodlighting systems in sports stadiums both large and small. We support indoor and outdoor venues, from grassroots clubs to national arenas, across the UK and beyond.
