The team here at Wiseman Lighting are dedicated to ensuring grassroots sports clubs have the support they need in order to become sustainable, progressive clubs for their communities. To cement our owner’s dedication, he Co-Founded a Not for Profit CIC, GrassRoots Power Community Interest Company. A forward thinking, ambitious and innovative organisation, set up by volunteers to support volunteers. 

Wiseman’s owner Harry Riste was a volunteer, then Chairman and Life Member of his childhood sports club. A recognition for his work, following the footsteps of both his parents who’s volunteering was also recognised with Life Memberships. A combination of the experience of witnessing the power of volunteers at the London 2012 Olympics and delivering a ground-breaking £500k Sport England sustainability protect in 2014 inspired Harry to put back into sport in the UK.

After experiencing the floodlighting supply chain as a volunteer customer, Harry realised that there was a gap in the market for a trusted organisation to support other volunteers in the raising of standards, whilst retaining commercial profits in the UK to support other volunteers and to promote sustainability within sport and in particular, sports clubs.

With a passion to put something back into community, others who have the same vision and wanted to make a difference have joined GrassRoots Power CIC.

With the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals imperative to achieve NET ZERO and the Government Targets, our approach is the delivery of sustainable sports facilities which is why Wiseman Lighting pioneer ground-breaking technologies whilst supporting GrassRoots Power CIC’s mission and objectives.
